Jason Kelce recently found himself in a bit of hot water after sharing some personal details about his wife, Kylie Kelce, and her dishwashing habits. During the latest episode of his and his brother Travis Kelce’s popular podcast, “New Heights,” Jason opened up about a particular quirk of Kylie’s that she wasn’t exactly thrilled to have exposed.
“Kylie hates when I do the dishes,” Jason confessed on Wednesday’s episode. “She just has OCD about getting all the food off the plate before you put it in the dishwasher.”
Kylie, who happened to be present during the recording, quickly interjected to defend herself and express her frustration. “Stop f–king exposing me, you d–k!” she exclaimed, giving Jason a playful but pointed reminder that some details are best kept private.
Jason, clearly enjoying the banter, explained his stance on the matter. He claimed that when it comes to using the dishwasher, he’s an “instruction follower.” According to him, the dishwasher instructions “clearly state to not scrape off the plates” before putting them in. “The dishes get cleaner without doing that,” Jason insisted.
His brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, couldn’t help but chime in. “That’s how they sell you!” Travis joked, poking fun at his brother’s belief in following the manufacturer’s instructions to the letter.
Travis then offered some light-hearted advice to help Jason avoid future dishwashing disagreements. “Well, keep your hands off the dishes, Jason,” Travis said. Jason, with a sigh, responded, “Fine, I won’t do the dishes!”

The playful dynamic between Jason and Kylie isn’t new to fans of the podcast. This isn’t the first time that Kylie has called out her husband for some of his on-air remarks. Just a few weeks ago, Kylie took to TikTok to share her candid thoughts after Jason gave advice to a caller who was experiencing a “dry spell” in the bedroom.
“If I had to guess based on my husband’s dumbass response to this question, I would say he’s probably going to experience a spell of his wife saying that she’s not interested,” Kylie said in the TikTok video, clearly not holding back.
In the Oct. 30 episode of the podcast, Jason had offered his own take on how to address a lack of intimacy in a relationship—a problem that Travis admitted he couldn’t personally relate to. “Try to set it up early, if you know you’re in the mood. ‘Cause women are weird, they don’t just always want that,” Jason said, drawing some immediate backlash.
After Kylie’s pointed response on social media, Jason addressed the situation during the Nov. 7 episode of “New Heights.” “Kylie took to Twitter announcing that I’m already in a dry spell right now,” Jason admitted, laughing at the situation while acknowledging that he might have stepped out of line. “I don’t want to get into any more trouble with Ky,” he added, clearly trying to stay on his wife’s good side.
Jason and Kylie Kelce, who tied the knot in 2018, share three daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1. Their playful back-and-forth is something that fans have grown to love, as it offers a genuine glimpse into their relationship—one filled with humor, honesty, and a lot of love.
Despite Jason’s occasional slip-ups on the podcast, it’s clear that the couple has a strong bond, and their interactions always leave fans entertained.
The Kelces’ openness about their relationship, including the occasional spats and misunderstandings, has endeared them to many. Jason’s willingness to laugh at himself and Kylie’s no-nonsense approach make them a relatable and beloved couple.
Whether it’s debating the proper way to load a dishwasher or navigating the complexities of intimacy, Jason and Kylie show that even amidst the chaos of life, there’s always room for a good laugh and a lot of love.
