Former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Claire Wolford has officially transitioned to cheering for a new team—and a new love interest—after retiring from her career as a pro cheerleader. Wolford, who announced her retirement in May, has since gone public with her relationship with Baltimore Orioles outfielder Colton Cowser, sharing several photos of the couple on Instagram recently.
Wolford, who spent four years as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, decided to move on from the sidelines earlier this year, marking the end of an era for her as part of one of the most iconic cheerleading teams in the NFL.
Her post announcing her retirement was heartfelt, expressing her gratitude for the experience: “Not quite sure how to wrap up the best 4 years of my life and a dream come true. This team gave me a family, memories, and opportunities to last a lifetime. Thank you Jesus!!! I love you forever @dccheerleaders,” she wrote, alongside a highlight reel of her dance career.
Now, Wolford appears to be shifting her focus to new adventures, including her blossoming relationship with Cowser.
The two made their relationship Instagram official recently, with Wolford sharing multiple photos of herself with the Orioles’ rising star. The photos have garnered plenty of attention, with fans expressing their excitement over the “hard launch” of their relationship in the comment sections.

Cowser, who was the fifth overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft out of Sam Houston State University, has been making a name for himself in Major League Baseball.
This season, the 24-year-old Orioles outfielder finished second in the American League Rookie of the Year voting, just behind the Yankees’ standout, Luis Gil. Cowser’s strong debut in the league has positioned him as one of the Orioles’ promising young stars, and his growing fan base is eager to see where his career will take him next.
The relationship between Wolford and Cowser seems to have taken off in early September, when Wolford first posted a photo of herself with Cowser while attending an event in Baltimore.
The post led many of her followers to gush about the couple and the way she was publicly sharing their relationship for the first time.
Since then, Wolford has been a regular presence at Orioles games, cheering Cowser on from the stands.
In late September, Wolford shared another post showing her support for her new beau, this time at Camden Yards, home of the Orioles.
She captioned the post, “Quick trip to watch this guy play,” along with a photo of the couple standing on the field, both beaming with smiles. The post highlighted her transition from being on the field as a cheerleader to cheering on her partner from the sidelines—a different kind of support, but one she seems to be embracing wholeheartedly.
The couple’s relationship appears to be growing stronger, as evidenced by their recent trip to Wolford’s home state of Nebraska. Earlier this month, the two visited a pumpkin patch in Gretna with friends, a quintessential fall outing that seemed to capture their playful and affectionate dynamic.
They also attended a Nebraska football game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, enjoying the atmosphere of college football while spending time with Wolford’s loved ones. The posts from their trip showed the couple looking happy and comfortable, with Cowser seemingly fitting right in with Wolford’s circle of friends.
Wolford’s departure from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders came just ahead of what has been a tough season for the Cowboys.
The team, currently sitting at a 3-7 record, has struggled with consistency on the field. Their season took an even bigger hit when quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending hamstring injury, leaving the team without their leader.
It’s been a challenging year for Cowboys fans, but for Wolford, stepping away seems to have allowed her to focus on new experiences and opportunities, including her burgeoning relationship with Cowser.
As Claire Wolford moves forward in her post-cheerleading life, her relationship with Colton Cowser seems to be adding a new layer of excitement and adventure.
With Cowser’s MLB career on the rise and Wolford embracing her new chapter, the pair seems to be enjoying every moment of their time together—whether it’s attending sporting events, traveling, or just spending time with family and friends.
For Wolford, who spent years under the bright lights as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, her new role cheering for her partner marks a fresh beginning—one that’s filled with new opportunities and a different kind of teamwork.
As she continues to support Cowser’s budding MLB career, it’s clear that Wolford is still a cheerleader at heart, only now she’s cheering for the man she loves, and for the future they’re building together.
