Pacino expressed joy over Roman’s development, noting, “He’s come into the world a little more now. He’s learning things.” Reflecting on becoming a father again in his 80s, Pacino revealed that this experience inspired him to pen his memoir, Sonny Boy, which was released on October 8. He mentioned, “That has been a campaign for me to stick around a little longer if it’s possible,” highlighting his desire to be present for his growing family.

In a recent interview, Al Pacino shared a humorous suggestion for his son Roman’s future movie-watching list. The legendary actor, now 84, recommended that Roman start with his cameo in Adam Sandler’s 2011 comedy Jack and Jill, where he appears in a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial. Pacino reflected on the timing of this role, explaining, “It came at a time in my life that I needed it, because it was after I found out I had no more money. My accountant was in prison, and I needed something quickly. So I took this.”
In Jack and Jill, Pacino showcases his comedic chops by singing and dancing, even changing his name to “Dunk” in a playful nod to the Dunkaccino beverage. He humorously lamented, “You know how many people think I actually made that commercial? I mean it’s just so unfair.”
Pacino’s cameo has become a notable part of internet culture, and he acknowledged that despite his playful intentions, the film has stayed prominent online: “[Sandler] put the film on, and it’s always been all over the Internet.”
Pacino and his partner, Noor Alfallah, welcomed their son Roman in June 2023. Ahead of his birth, sources revealed that Pacino was excited about becoming a father again, emphasizing that parenthood has always been a vital part of his life. “Al loves being a father and always has,” the insider noted, adding, “He is excited.”
