Jason Kelce’s burgeoning TV career will head in a new direction with the former Philadelphia Eagles star to host a new late-night show on ESPN in the new year.
The future Hall of Famer will be the face of ‘They Call It Late Night With Jason Kelce,’ which will debut across the Worldwide Leader’s platforms on Jan 3. The hour-long talk show will air on Friday nights throughout the NFL playoffs, with five episodes commissioned.
The show will be filmed with a live studio audience at Union Transfer Center in Philadelphia and will take inspiration from traditional late-night chat shows while focusing on the biggest storylines in the NFL. Philadelphia-based band SNACKTIME will also be part of the show, performing live sets.

The show will be first broadcast on ESPN before being made available on the broadcaster and Kelce’s YouTube channels. Production is being handled by NFL Films, Skydance Studios and Kelce’s Wonderboy Productions.
“We’ll be doing a late-night show during the postseason on ESPN,” Kelce announced on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’. “When I first approached ESPN about potentially working for them, Monday Night Football was a big part of that.
“[But] I loved late-night shows, I’ve always loved them. I remember sleepovers watching Conan O’Brien with my friends. The biggest thing players say they miss when they leave the sport is being around the guys, the locker rooms, the banter.
“Being able to have the show where we’re going to have a bunch of guys up there, legends of the game, friends that I’ve played the game win, coaches, celebrities. NFL Films is also going to be part of it.”
Kelce is ESPN’s star acquisition of 2024, joining the broadcaster after retiring from the NFL. The one-time Super Bowl champion has become a fixture on ‘Monday Night Countdown’ alongside Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears.
But he will make the leap to hosting with his new venture. The 37-year-old does have an abundance of experience in that regard, fronting the hugely popular “New Heights” podcast alongside his brother, Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce.
“They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce will be an immersive experience from Union Transfer in Philadelphia, showcasing the Super Bowl champion’s oversized personality and infectious humor mixed with celebrity guests from the football world and beyond, in front of a live audience of NFL fans,” an ESPN press release read.
“The show’s format will position Kelce and his guests to dissect NFL topics and storylines, mainly focused on that weekend’s games, in both conventional and good-humoredly unconventional approaches including active participation from the fans in attendance.”
Kelce’s trip to Los Angeles for his appearance on Kimmel was not all good news, though. After leaving the studio, he was involved in a heated confrontation with an autograph hunter, who hurled abuse at the former center before Kelce cooled tensions and deescalated the situation
