Over the past several months, the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end has been juggling acting classes alongside his NFL commitments, preparing for life beyond the gridiron. Kelce has already made his acting debut with a cameo on FX’s show “Grotesquerie,” and he’s not slowing down. With the Chiefs on a bye week, Kelce will be back in front of the camera, shooting yet another role.
Earlier this week, Kelce was spotted on the Instagram story of Hollywood producer Bryan Zuriff, which sparked rumors that he might be filming a cameo for the upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel. The new film, set to premiere on Netflix, has generated significant buzz, especially after another surprising report surfaced.
Kelce’s girlfriend, pop megastar Taylor Swift, has reportedly been offered a role in the movie as well. According to The U.S. Sun, Swift initially thought the offer was a joke, laughing off the idea of joining a slapstick golf comedy. However, Sandler’s team is reportedly serious about getting the “Cruel Summer” singer on board for a cameo in the highly anticipated sequel.
A source close to Swift revealed that while she laughed at the offer initially, she’s now giving it genuine consideration. “It sounded like a joke at the start, so when she got offered the cameo, she didn’t think it was serious at first,” the insider explained. “She still has to answer, but it would be a funny experience, even if the scene lasts 30 seconds or something shorter than that.”
If Swift accepts, it would add another layer of excitement to the project. The couple, like many others their age, reportedly watched the original Happy Gilmore together multiple times. So, the idea of both Kelce and Swift appearing in the sequel has fans buzzing.
As for Kelce, his acting career seems to be gaining traction, and Swift couldn’t be more supportive. “She is so excited for Travis,” the source told The U.S. Sun. “Taylor knows his acting career is important for him and something he wants to grow into.”

Kelce’s connection to the Happy Gilmore sequel was hinted at earlier this summer when Adam Sandler appeared on the Kelce brothers’ popular podcast, New Heights. During the episode, Sandler joked about Kelce playing his son in the new film. “The whole thing was to get to hang out with Travis,” Sandler joked.
“That’s why we put it together. We were talking about you playing my son while we were writing it. Literally like six months ago, we were like, ‘Imagine if Travis was my first baby, how funny that would be? Just a badass.’”
With Kelce’s growing presence in Hollywood, it’s clear that he’s serious about making a name for himself outside of football. The idea of a new career in acting has long intrigued him, and with the support of Swift, he’s diving in headfirst.
