For years, Sean “Diddy” Combs has been renowned for hosting some of the most extravagant parties in the entertainment world. From his legendary white parties in the Hamptons, Los Angeles, and Miami to intimate gatherings aboard yachts in St. Tropez, Diddy made a name for himself in the late 1990s and early 2000s with lavish, star-studded events overflowing with excess—alcohol, drugs, and nudity were often on the menu.
However, following his recent arrest on multiple sex trafficking charges, more troubling details have surfaced about what transpired at these infamous gatherings.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, celebrity photographer Selma Fonseca, who attended between 20 to 30 of Diddy’s parties during her career and famously broke the news of his romance with Jennifer Lopez in 1999, shared her firsthand experiences, including a chilling warning she had for children present and a “nerve-wracking” moment she never anticipated.
“All his parties were incredible: the best food, the best music, drinks, entertainers—people with fire,” Fonseca recalled. These events attracted a constellation of A-listers, including Ashton Kutcher, Lopez, Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey, Usher, and Jay-Z, though none have been implicated in Diddy’s ongoing criminal case.
“It was like a mini-circus,” she remarked, quoting LeBron James: “There’s no party like a Diddy party.” Fonseca added, “There was a lot of champagne going around and everything else. You could have whatever you wanted.”
Fonseca first crossed paths with Diddy at his birthday bash in 1998. Just a year later, she received an invitation to his iconic White Party at his newly purchased Hamptons estate.
“He had just bought that house in the Hamptons, and he held the white party where I was able to photograph him and J-Lo on the balcony kissing each other,” she reminisced. “I broke the news that they were dating because there were rumors swirling around, but nobody had proof.”
As a seasoned photographer, Fonseca has published two books showcasing her career as a celebrity photojournalist, providing her with a unique perspective on how a typical Diddy party unfolded from start to finish.
“He would walk around, saying hello to everyone, you know what I mean? He was always out and about, doing something, talking on the mic, and hanging at the DJ booth,” she recounted.
“There was no VIP area that was closed off,” she added. “It was like everybody was a VIP in East Hampton. He had some guests inside the living room, and he also had the bedroom up for mingling.”
The indictment presented in court last month accused Sean “Diddy” Combs and several unnamed associates of the Combs Enterprise of employing intimidation tactics to lure women into his sphere, often under the guise of romantic relationships. The allegations detailed how he allegedly used “force, threats of force, and coercion” to compel victims to engage in extended sexual acts with male commercial sex workers, which he referred to as “Freak Offs.” These were described as “elaborately produced sex performances” that Diddy allegedly arranged, directed, and even participated in by masturbating during and recording them.
While Fonseca claimed she did not witness these specific “freak-offs,” she noted that it was not unusual for women to be seen walking around naked at the parties. “As people were drinking, it got a little crazier,” she explained, recalling instances where guests would shed their clothes and jump into the swimming pool. “That was kind of normal.”
She painted a picture of Diddy as a hands-on host who ensured his guests were well taken care of. “He always had this tray, and he offered shots to everyone,” she recounted. “Ecstasy was really in fashion at that time. So, it’s like if you take a drink or take a pill, how is anybody going to know?”
Fonseca observed that most of the parties began innocently, often attended by celebrity children. However, things would change once the kids were sent away, leading to what she described as “crazy” festivities. In a video obtained by Fox News Digital, Diddy can be heard telling parents to “put the kids away” so that the adults could fully enjoy the celebration. “We fed ya’ll, gave ya’ll some drinks. Now it’s time to enjoy life,” he stated, adding that the event was a “celebration of life.”
Fonseca recalled a “nerve-wracking” incident in 2006 when she captured a photo of Diddy with a woman he had just met. Diddy instructed his bodyguard to retrieve her camera, and while he examined the photos, she felt uneasy but ultimately received her camera back without any images being deleted.
When Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided as part of a federal human trafficking investigation, Fonseca expressed mixed feelings. “I wasn’t really surprised, but I was surprised at the same time because I’ve never seen anything,” she said, reflecting on her numerous encounters with Diddy over the years.
Facing serious charges, Diddy has been indicted on counts including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, with the possibility of a life sentence if convicted. He appeared in Manhattan federal court, where he pleaded not guilty and was denied a proposed $50 million bail, being remanded to jail immediately.
Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated outside the courthouse that his client was confident and eager to face the charges. “He’s going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might,” Agnifilo asserted. In a related documentary, he revealed that Diddy is “very eager” to testify, implying that he would share his side of the story, including the events captured on video.
